SKILLS ON-RAMP AT EMPOWERED FITNESS TRAINING
We highly recommend everyone who wishes to join our classes start first with the Skills On-Ramp Program. You will learn the foundational movements, develop skills with the barbell required in our ongoing classes, including the Deadlift, Press/Jerk, Squat, Clean, and Snatch, and experience a class-like workout, all 1-on-1 with a coach prior to jumping in to our classes. HOW IT WORKS
The Skills On-Ramp is a monthlong non-recurring program which consists of four 1-on-1 sessions with a coach to learn the essential skills for your success with Empowered Fitness Training. Once all the sessions are complete you will have the remainder of the month to try out our classes before deciding on a membership with us. The sessions are as follows:
1. In our first session we will perform a Functional Movement Screen, then educate you on and practice the foundational movement patterns: Squat, Hinge, Sinlge Leg, Push, Pull, Trunk Stability, Twist, and Loaded Carry.
2. Our second session covers the Deadlift, Squat, and Press, plus their variations and additional strength lifts.
3. Our third session covers the Olympic Lifts: Clean & Jerk, and Snatch. At the conclusion we will also cover complexes. Don't worry, they are not that complex.
4. During the last session we will bring everything we covered together into a class-like workout 1-on-1 with the coach so you will know what to expect when you do your first official class with us.
